The Way There

Nest Gallery

1 County Road 166 Abiquiu NM

My husband and I frequently receive questions about our decision to move to New Mexico and our happiness here. This body of work powerfully captures our daily experiences in Abiquiu. Living in this stunning landscape has provided us with profound peace and tranquility. We have embraced a strong sense of belonging, much like the Say's Phoebe that confidently nests on our porch each year. This series boldly explores my hopes, concerns, and our deepening connection to this remarkable land.

Museo de Arte de Bayamón (MAB)

Hebé García’s artwork "Una pregunta en barro y pincel" (2010), which is part of the permanent collection at the Francisco Oller Museum, has been selected for inclusion in the MAB exhibit titled "Lo mítico y sagrado." This piece was inspired by a poem written by García’s great-great-grandfather, José Gautier Benítez (1848-1880), a Puerto Rican poet from the Romantic Era.

The Fabulous Egg

I had the opportunity to showcase my ceramic sculpture "Puse un huevo" as part of GAGA's collective exhibition at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. The event brought together a diverse group of artists, and I was honored to contribute my work to this vibrant celebration of creativity and collaboration.
