The Pollinators Series
Every morning I step into the courtyard and observe the bees, hummingbirds, ladybugs, butterflies, hummingbird moths, and others in a feeding frenzy. It amazes and thrills me to know that with just a bit of effort, we are helping these pollinators survive. Be kind to our pollinators, and you will receive that kindness back ten forth. Our garden's beauty and joy have been a great source of inspiration. I think of pollinators, the language of flowers, the minerals in the soil and their different color gradations, and the importance of caring for this Earth that we call our home. Slowly all of this has started to emerge in my paintings and clay sculptures, which will be displayed this year at the Abiquiu Cafe from the beginning of August until the end of September 2023.
